About the Role:
We are looking for a tutor who would be able to support a KS3 pupil in English, Maths and Science. The pupil requires tuition four days per week following the GCSE syllabus for the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.
The tutor must be sensitive to issues around gender and work in partnership with professionals involved with the pupil. Tuition will take place at the home with a parent/carer present. The tutor must be sensitive to complex mental health difficulties and have experience in handling significant gaps in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Familiarity with special education practices (highly desirable)
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effectively engaging with students and parents.

Deliver individualised, patient-led support for a student with limited communicative language and understanding of routines.

Collaborate with the family and other professionals to support the student’s development.
Ideal Candidate:
* Ability to teach English for 10 hours per week and/or Maths for 5 hours per week and/or Science for 5 hours per week.
* Available to tutor between the hours of 9am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday
*
QTS or HE/FE qualified (essential) with 2+ years’ UK teaching/tutoring experience.

Strong understanding of sensory processing difficulties and de-escalation techniques.
*
Adaptable, patient, and proactive – able to tailor approaches to the student’s needs.
*
Own transport/dependable commute to area.
* Able to start immediately
