The Role: We’re looking for a new team member to be responsible for order picking duties in our Goods Out department. The role will involve picking orders from our in-house stock. This busy role requires concentration, motivation and energy; everybody works under pressure to reach deadlines. It will involve teamwork within the Goods out team as well as other warehouse teams, so you need to be conscientious and have good communication skills. Some previous experience of order picking would be an advantage but the most important thing to us is a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Responsibilities: Pick, pack and label orders for shipment Follow company guidelines regarding packaging with high attention to detail Performing picking and packing operations in accordance with time, quality and quantity targets Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools / label printers and PC scanning systems Quality Control of processed stock / packaged items, ensuring it meets company standards for customer satisfaction Use of bespoke internal database to aid in product accuracy checks Liaising with other warehouse teams Maintain a clean work area Replenishing packaging machines with packing materials (e.g. bubble wrap, wrapping / strapping) Required Skills: Attention to detail – you’ll need to be able to follow strict operational guidelines Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and multitasking Adaptability to changing daily tasks Professional demeanour with customers and suppliers Desirable Skills and Personal Qualities: Previous warehousing and packaging experience but not essential Familiarity desired but not essential with Microsoft Office & Netsuite Hard working, proactive and independent Organised, responsible and trustworthy Able to handle a heavy workload Have a sense of responsibility to the business and colleagues Down to earth with a sense of humour Ambitious for yourself and your team Interested in the way our business works with creative plans on how to improve it Open-minded and eager to learn, and keen to share your own experience for the benefit of others Take pride in personal success and those of colleagues Able to work in alliance with a myriad of people in different roles and departments Conscientious Happy to adapt to new tasks and projects Benefits: Competitive Salary Private Healthcare Pension Flexible Working Free Flu Vac and Eye Tests Cycle to Work Scheme Tech Scheme Life and Critical Illness Insurance Regular Social Events Structured Induction Programme 40 hours a week, 9:30am - 6:30pm.
