Role Overview
The Matron will provide professional clinical and operational leadership and management for services, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective care within available resources. The role focuses on organizing care to meet patient needs, enhancing patient experience, and supporting staff to meet the objectives of the Directorate and Trust.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote high standards of clinical care and patient safety.
* Reduce health inequalities and promote equality for all.
* Lead staff education, development, workforce retention, and recruitment through compassionate, inclusive leadership.
* Manage patient flow efficiently from admission to discharge, ensuring patients are cared for in the most appropriate location to improve experience, quality of care, and financial sustainability.

Job Summary
The Matron will provide credible nursing leadership, work as part of a designated Directorate, and be responsible for maintaining high standards of nursing care.
