Industrial Quality Support Engineer

Could you be our Industrial Quality Support Engineer in Crewe we’re looking for at Alstom, to take on a new challenge and apply your expertise to design and deploy our Quality Control Plan to support an external demerit at 0 for Alstom Customer and the Zero Defect Program?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge in Crewe and apply your Industrial Quality Support Engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Head of Quality for POM UK&I Services and work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team in Alstom UK&I. This role will be an initial 6 month fixed term contract with potential to become permanent. The role will require you to travel to other sites weekly as per business requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist with performing inspections of products (Customer joint inspections included if applicable).
We’ll look to you for the following:
* Conducting product inspections, including joint inspections with customers where applicable.
* Recording inspection results in industrial tools and ensuring proper follow-ups.
* Performing initial assessments and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for internal issues.
* Handling supplier NCRs and making informed decisions on product acceptance or rejection based on defined working instructions.
* Supporting manufacturing teams with self-inspection processes, control delegation (training, audits, etc.), and quality animation with EPU managers.
* Developing and maintaining Control Plans as required.
* Assisting with the concession process when needed.
* Supporting product First Article Inspections (FAIs) as required.

* Associate degree for Technician/Engineer (ex. equivalent of BTS in France – 2 years technical degree after high school)
* Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
* Technical mastery of railway products.
* International mindset & fluent in English.
* Ability to work in a matrix organization.
* Process knowledge on Quality and at industrial level.
* Management experience (for PIQ manager).
* Project management or equivalent.
