Why this job matters
This role will co-ordinate and deliver quality assurance for products ensuring supply partners comply with service level agreements that ensure products supplied to the market are compliant and of an agreed quality level. The role will hold suppliers accountable for the quality of their delivery to customers ensuring that every product that is placed on the UK market meets the latest standards and best practices for product safety, reliability, environmental & product specific compliance.
What you’ll be doing
* Establish the process to manage quality assurance through agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Keep Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the supply of consumer electronics ensuring customer needs and product compliance aspects are met.
* Own supplier performance management activities, defining a supplier score card that can be reviewed monthly at the quality review meetings with each supplier ensuring any gaps are addressed and opportunities for improvement are agreed.
* Initiate a regular audit plan at suppliers premises to review assure adherence to process whilst identifying improvement opportunities that will drive efficiencies and improve customer experience.
* Review supplier return data and trends to identify improvement opportunities whilst building and owning relationships internally with stakeholders to build and enhance the quality assurance process.
* Support Goods inwards inspection, Diagnostic and CS teams to ensure issues are communicated and addressed effectively internally through guided help and Goods In or externally via the equipment suppliers.
* Support the negotiation of the quality requirements with suppliers that will result in positive outcomes for the business & customers.
The skills you'll need
* Quality Assurance – experience of defining and implementing processes, standards and controls.
* Quality Tools – experience of applying and using a variety of quality tools for analysing data and problem solving. Supplier Performance Management: experience of holding suppliers accountable in a supply chain and distribution environment against SLA’s and KPI’s.
* Audit: experience of scoping and conducting audits to identify improvement opportunities whilst ensuring long terms actions are fully implemented.
* Lean: Experience of lean supply chain operations and reduction in cost of poor quality.
* Experience of working in cross functional teams.
* Comfortable working remotely at distribution and supplier offices across the UK and occasional overseas in a foreign environment.
