Due to unprecedented demand, our client have a number of exciting vacancies available for Principal Civil/Structural engineers working across a multitude of projects including Decommissioning, Nuclear New Build, Defence and Advanced technologies.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
As a Principal Civil/ Structural Engineer, you will deliver Nuclear design work, inspections and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas. Work encompasses the full lifecycle of a project.
Concept and Feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects.
Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot as well as producing hand calculations.
Prepare Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
Be responsible for the management of project delivery, as well as people management of Senior CS&A Engineers and CS&A Engineers.
Working with integrated multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high profile projects.
Manage programmes and resources, delivering to time and budget.
Develop and review safety case inputs, such as Safety Functional Requirements (SFRs), Structural Design Method Statements (SDMSs) and Design Substantiation Reports (DSR).
Support preparation of fee proposals.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Degree Qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IstructE, or working towards.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
