Prepworld are looking for a Packaging Team Leader on day shift covering all Packaging operator duties, and assisting the Supervisor with the organisation of the team and supporting all day-to-day requests.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all packaging areas are tidy, organised and no unauthorised staff enter the packaging stores or Yard areas.
* Leading by example to effectively motivate the team ensuring targets are achieved.
* Support when required with customer tray stock counts.
* Support when required with pallet stock counts.
* Have knowledge of all packaging SKU’s.
* Be able to read and understand email requests and action accordingly.
* Moving of pallets/stock around the warehouse/yard in a safe and controlled manner.
* Unload delivery vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner following all intake processes.
* To drive and handle all MHE equipment in a respectful, controlled, and safe manner ensuring all start up documents are filled in correctly.
* Pick and supply packaging in advance according to the daily packaging plans and supply to the airlock room in preparation for production.
* Top up print room with labels daily following the Kan Ban system in place.
* Work and oversee operatives in the airlock room and issue packaging to the production high care when requested following the traceability and barrier control procedures.
* Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and organised always.
* Provide accurate packaging stock counts of all packaging SKU’s.
* Notify of any delivery discrepancies to the Shift Supervisor and/or purchasing team.
* Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure these are signed and passed onto the area Supervisor.
* Organise stock in the stores in a clear and logical way and ensure all internal codes have been applied correctly with the correct information.
* Understand how to read the packaging plans/Bill of material to identify correct stocks needed for production.
* Understand the differences between and being responsible for the Current, new, and redundant stocks and why segregation of these is important.
* Oversee, check, and accurately update stock inventory lists.
* Oversee all intake procedures including stock Putaway.
* Ability to track deliveries against delivery schedules to include confirming deliveries that have come in and highlighting deliveries that haven't.
* Understand technical requirements.
* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor can effectively liaise with Customer equipment and purchasing teams regarding delivery discrepancies.
* Understand and able to complete the On Hold Procedure of compromised stock.
* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor being able to communicate correct redundant stock information to the purchasing team.
* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor being able to cover/action some employee relations matters including return to works.

“Off Peak” 28 weeks (October – May)
Pay:
Starting at £13.90 per hour, rising through to £14.30 per hour and then £14.60 per hour after full training and development.
