As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer, you will assist and develop the skills required in the production of electrical system designs for a variety of projects including precision positioning controls for optical systems, vacuum control systems, machinery controls, safety circuits, and LV systems. You will also develop knowledge and skills required to use electrical CAD software and AutoCAD to produce schematics, hook-ups, and other electrical design documentation in support of the project requirements.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with internal and external scientific and engineering staff to produce electrical systems designs for various projects including motor control systems, vacuum control systems, electrical rack and panel design, low voltage distribution systems, and relay and interlock logic. You will use electrical CAD software to produce schematics, hook-ups, and other electrical design documentation.
Responsibilities:
1. Design control panels and associated systems for a variety of projects and industries.
2. Create electrical schematics for control systems that will be fabricated on-site and further designs for the installation of these systems.
3. Communicate with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, throughout project lifecycles.
4. Provide support for engineers involved in site installation to ensure project delivery.
5. Carry out feasibility studies for new technical innovations.
6. Use appropriate systems and programs, including E-Plan, AutoCAD, SharePoint, and other MS Packages as needed.
What Do You Need?
1. Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Competent in E-Plan and AutoCAD packages.
3. Good knowledge of H&S procedures and systems.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Proven track record as an Electrical Engineer in either a design office or construction market.
