Join Us as a Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager at Changing Social will report into the Head of PMO and is responsible for leading complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. The Senior Project Manager will proactively manage risks, ensure effective communication, and align projects with Changing Social's strategic goals and core values of LOVE (Lovability, Openness, Versatility, Enthusiasm) and POP (Preparedness, Ownership, Pride).
As well as delivering Projects within the PMO team, this role will also be responsible for supporting the Head of PMO in the management of the team, process improvements and will bring a positive, can do attitude to problem solving and to the PMO team in general.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution and Coordination
* Manage the delivery of medium to large-scale projects, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.
* Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
* Ensure proper documentation of project milestones, deliverables, and lessons learned.
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders and project teams.
* Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
* Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients.
Risk and Issue Management
* Monitor project risks and develop mitigation plans to address potential challenges.
* Ensure timely resolution of issues that may impact project success.
Process Improvement
* Identify opportunities to enhance Project Delivery Processes.
* Working with the Head of PMO, lead on the execution and delivery of new Project Delivery Processes.
* Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Support and Guidance
* Collaborate with and support team members to ensure project alignment and progress.
* Mentor more Junior members of the PMO Team.
* Potential future Line Management within the PMO Team.
* Foster a positive team environment, promoting high performance and accountability.
Key Qualifications
* Minimum of 6 years of experience managing projects in a professional setting.
* Experience of Project Management in a Consultancy environment.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
* Experience working for/with a Microsoft Partner.
* Hands-on experience with project management tools.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, Prince 2) is required.
* Experience in managing Software Development Projects is desirable.
* Positive, can-do attitude is mandatory for this role to support the Head of PMO in the growth of the team.
