Our department also hosts deanery core trainees and we aim to replicate the formal Core Training curriculum, as relevant to existing experience. Main duties of the job On-call work will then involve covering the 1st on-call, covering the emergency theatre. This is one of 4 resident rotas providing 24/7 cover. There is readily-available consultant support. The post involves working a 1 in 9 pattern of on-call: Long days (including 1 in 9 weekends) 08:00 to 20:30 Nights 20:00-08:30 The above is in addition to standard days 0800 to 1700 in operating theatres or ICU.
