PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide technical expertise and leadership across Engineering, Marketing and Sales organizations, as well as with Customers and thereby enhance the ITT IP OE and ProShop brands. For assigned pump product types, to conceive and create customised / new hydraulic and mechanical designs through continuous improvement, innovation, and technology adaption, and thereby grow aftermarket orders for global Service and Upgrades businesses. Lead upgrades / custom design development and to actively participate in all stages of aftermarket new product development, and thereby realize new sales and quality goals for the global aftermarket businesses. For customers installed pumps, use innovation and collaboration across all functions to minimise lifecycle costs, and thereby develop the platform to add value and increase margins of aftermarket sales for global aftermarket businesses. To manage and lead assigned team of Product Engineers and Designers. To manage and control assigned annual departmental expense budget and Product Development capex budgets. · Execute global customer support for route cause analysis / provision of solutions to reduce lifecycle costs · Execute custom design of aftermarket solutions to improve reliability · Justify, manage and execute new product development projects as well as enhancements to existing products to expand product portfolio using stage gate process. · Travel to global aftermarket sites and customer locations - up to 25% travel required. · Budget responsibility team expenses and NPD projects. · Accountability for 3-6 employees · Direct the team’s activities to maintain high levels of design quality and on-time performance. Develop, maintain, and improve products to grow our business at minimum 2 x market average. · Develop maintain technical databases for pump performances and designs. · Develop best practices for manufacture & design for product quality and cost effectiveness. · Support the product knowledge transfer of new pump product lines to locations globally · Develop technical resources and succession plan · Train technical resources in pump engineering and provide exposure to pump user systems Education: 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree (minimum) Chartered Engineer preferred Experience: Minimum 15 years’ experience in pump design & manufacture with internationally recognized pump OEM Other Skills/Knowledge: Pump hydraulic design Rotating equipment mechanical design Strong analytical skills Strong design judgment Experience in pump test, field service, and start-up Strong leadership capabilities Ability to deliver technical training New product development experience Interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of industry standards Aftermarket knowledge
