The team
The QEP Investment Team consists of 28 members, located in London, Sydney, Hong Kong, and New York. The QEP Team manages $27 bn across a range of global equity strategies, including dedicated EM strategies.
What you'll do
1. Contribute to the ongoing development and progress of QEP investment process
2. Support the team on investment data, including research and interpretation to recommend investable insights
3. Collaborate within the team and Schroders investment teams on value add projects
Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in quantitative research projects under the guidance of senior members of the team to identify and drive implementable insights
2. Produce and present well-considered research findings and proposals to better reflect risks and opportunities systematically in our investment process
Supporting the team on investment research and data
1. Analyse a broad range of data, including structured and unstructured data, and translate it into investment insights for use within our investment process
2. Manage and monitor investment data and impact, providing support to the rest of the investment team including portfolio managers
Collaboration
1. Work closely with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to refine our existing investment and research processes in response to business and client needs
2. Build relationships and seek collaboration opportunities with other investment, distribution, product, trading and technology teams

QEP Investment Team: Technical Skills & Qualifications
1. Higher education degree level, preferably in a numeric field and with past research experience
2. Knowledge of basic portfolio management theories and the asset management industry
3. Knowledge of any programming language is preferred. A willingness to learn basic programming in SQL is required
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
1. Strong understanding of equity factors and modelling techniques
2. Knowledge of and ability to work with investment data at scale
3. Knowledge of statistical techniques to gain insights from data
4. Ability to design, modify and review technical calculations, preferably including optimisation
What you'll be like
