About the Role:
We are seeking a versatile and driven Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement operations of a fast-paced production site specialising in bespoke, made-to-measure office chairs and components. This role requires expertise in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing, and ERP optimisation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
While experience in a similar role is preferred, we welcome candidates from developmental roles within the sector who exhibit ambition and a willingness to grow. This position offers significant opportunities for professional development, with the potential to advance into a director-level role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement process, ensuring seamless operations for bespoke production.
* Identify opportunities for supply chain improvement, optimising margins, component quality, and reducing volatility.
* Monitor quality, safety, and standards across the procurement department and supply chain.
* Generate procurement reports, analyse KPIs, and present findings to senior management.
* Collaborate with accounts and senior leadership teams to plan payment schedules, fulfil invoices and purchase orders, and forecast future needs based on market conditions.
* Drive innovation, manufacturing excellence, and positive change within a dynamic, fast-growing company.

About You:
* A qualification in procurement management, operations management, or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential. Relevant experience, aptitude, and ambition are highly valued.
* Proven experience in a management role within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong knowledge of international import, customs, and freight regulations, as well as quality control standards.
* Experience collaborating with creative and technical teams to design and launch new products is a bonus but not essential.
* Understanding of MRP and ERP software solutions in live manufacturing environments.
