The Role
Following expansion, they seek a customer focused and technically motivated Installation Project Manager, responsible for planning, overseeing and project managing the installation of medical and surgical equipment at hospital sites throughout Greater London and the South East.
In this exciting and varied post, the Installation Project Manager will be responsible for the preparation, planning and installation of medical and surgical equipment, including surgical lighting, operating theatre tables, medical gas facilities and all associated operating theatre control systems and electrical infrastructure.
The successful applicant will be responsible for organising and instructing all sub-contractors on site, liaising with various internal contacts and external customers, including hospital departmental managers, the sales department, and the project management department.
The Installation PM is an integral part of the Healthcare business, interfacing and forming key internal relationships with sales colleagues, customer service engineers, applications specialists and commercial partners. In addition, the job holder develops relationships with building contractors and business partners. From a customer and clinical system user perspective, the PM is the key contact from initial order to equipment handover, with the need to communicate effectively at all levels.
Your Background
To be considered for this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate a strong background working in an installation project management capacity, with practical knowledge of high value capital equipment installations. Applicants are welcome from Project Managers from a wide range of equipment backgrounds, including industrial and factory equipment, machine tools, laboratory equipment, HVAC, and general Mechanical Electrical backgrounds.
You should be familiar with building regulations, CAD, structural design and electrical installations, with the ability to manage multiple ‘cradle to grave’ projects at one time.
Applications are also encouraged from PM’s with experience of the NHS, healthcare, medical device and operational hospital environments.
