The role The firm are seeking to hire a Corporate Commercial Partner; to join their growing corporate commercial team, their office is based in the heart of the West End of London. The Corporate Commercial team is the highest turnover and most profitable department firm wide. The team consists of seven, they deal with an excellent quality work. Acting on everything from complex corporate transactions for national companies, down to acting for innovative start-ups. The variety and breadth of the work makes for an interesting caseload. One of the founding equity partners, is due to retire in the next 24 months. As such the firm are seeking to make a new Corporate Commercial Partner hire as part of the department's succession planning strategy. You will over time absorb this partners client and work. The team are entrepreneurial and ambitious, you will find there to be a high energy between the team to drive the department forwards. You will work with the leadership to drive the department forwards; you will be actively involved in strategy and planning. Taking an active role in business development, you will also oversee, mentor and develop more junior members of the team. Work will include; Acquisitions and disposals, mergers and reconstructions, management buy-outs and buy-ins, private equity, joint ventures and shareholder agreements, contracts, franchising, licensing and distribution agreements. This role could prove to be a good platform for progression for a senior solicitor seeking a route to partnership, perhaps in a top-heavy team. You will be a Corporate Commercial Solicitor with at least seven years PQE (no upper limit) Salary and package are negotiable depending on your background and experience, there is also a lucrative bonus structure that allows you to boost earnings by way of billings.
