Closing date for applications: 27 Nov 2024
Full-Time
Location: England - North West
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic is one of the UK’s most important music organisations, reaching over 500,000 people annually through its live and participative work, plus millions more online. Its work encompasses the world-renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, a diverse programme of over 400 concerts and events each year in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and The Music Room, our Youth Company and an extensive music learning and outreach programme.
We are currently recruiting a Director of Audiences to develop and deliver Liverpool Philharmonic’s marketing, audience development, brand and communications strategy.
Serving on the senior Executive Team, the postholder will work with colleagues on the overall strategic and business direction of the organisation.
With knowledge and experience of audience needs and challenges, they will lead in defining and implementing our strategic aims to grow existing audiences and develop new and diverse audiences from across our communities.
Heading a busy Audiences team, they will set and drive strategic and financial objectives for audiences and income, lead our digital strategy and create and deliver strategies to grow Liverpool Philharmonic’s brand and profile locally, nationally and internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead marketing, communications and audience development in one of the most dynamic and highly regarded music organisations in the country. We are seeking a candidate with a successful track record in a senior marketing role in a large-scale arts or creative organisation, who can take a long-term strategic approach to our marketing and communications and who can lead and inspire the team to deliver successfully against ambitious targets.
Liverpool Philharmonic is committed to striving to represent modern Britain in all its diversity. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. In seeking to be representative of the Liverpool city region, applications from members of minority ethnic groups are particularly welcome as they are currently underrepresented within the creative industry. The appointment will be made on merit with independent assessment, openness and transparency of process.
