Avidity Science are looking for a proficient and highly communicative Life Science Sales Specialist to join our Life Science Sales team. This position is for an initial fixed-term period until 31st August 2025, although an opportunity may arise for the contract to be extended or made permanent during the contract period.
In this position you will be field based with a responsibility for researching potential customers and then promoting and selling our range of equipment, consumables and service products including validation into Life Sciences organisations within your territory covering the South East region, with occasional visits to our offices in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. In this role you will be travelling to customer sites on a regular basis.
Some of the things you will be doing if you join us:
* Ensure sufficient sales activity, territory coverage and future prospect development to achieve individual set financial targets on a monthly and yearly basis.
* Prepare proposals and draft sales contracts as required and or in cooperation with others.
* Maintain robust pipeline value for any given period and defined target area.
* Take the lead in ensuring regular scheduled meetings with existing key customers to review relationship and secure long-standing business.
* Maintain good knowledge of competitor strategy and activity.
* Weekly maintenance and update of current database of clients, prospects, within CRM system.
* Other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably assigned.
We’re keen to bring new people and ideas into the team; we don’t have a list of mandatory qualifications or skills to be considered for the role, although you will have prior experience working in a scientific equipment sales environment. However, some or all of the following will be expected of you:
* Previous experience within a similar territory sales role, ideally within a Life Sciences or Lab equipment industry will be a distinct advantage.
* Good working knowledge of Life Science laboratories
* Consultative Sales Approach
* A business results orientated “can do” approach, matched with excellent sales, communication and negotiation skills.
* Technical competence and excellent customer problem solving skills
* Detail Oriented, with strong communication skills
* Intermediate to strong MS Office skills
* Able to commit to travel expectations
* Able to commit to the 8-month contract period
