Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Dundee. This role offers an opportunity for an individual with a passion for payroll to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic and supportive work environment.
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
* Processing payroll using SAGE payroll for the DFS Dundee Manufacturing site.
* Involvement in a payroll project supporting a transition to an outsourced model with ADP Global View.
* Using KRONOS time and attendance management system.
* Ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation and relevant company policies.
* Organizing and prioritizing workloads to achieve an accurate payroll run within strict time scales.
* Liaising with HR and Finance departments to agree on monthly payroll timetables and deadlines.
* Communicating with external agencies on earnings arrestments and statutory submissions.
* Preparing and processing overtime and shift reports to Sage payroll.
* Collating and processing payroll change correspondence.
* Calculating payroll entries including pro rata pay calculations and holiday pay.
* Verifying all monthly payroll changes for accuracy and compliance.
* Creating and reviewing payslips.
* Answering queries related to payslips.
* Distributing forms such as P45, P60, and P11d.
Desired Skill Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role is essential.
* Experience using Sage Payroll is essential.
* Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors is advantageous.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Knowledge of Kronos time and attendance system is desirable.
* Ability to manage and prioritize support across multiple projects.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Flexible, hands-on approach to teamwork.
* Ability to work effectively with departments.
