As a junior Calibration Engineer, you'll be responsible for the testing, calibration, operation, and repair of electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, electrohydraulic, or electronic measuring and recording instruments within an engineering laboratory setting. This role would suit someone who has a keen interest in mechanical and electrical engineering and is looking to start a create in a technically exciting industry. The Job The conduct of traceable & UKAS accredited calibrations under ISO 9001 & BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems Packaging and preparing Instruments ready for hires and performing return checks. Keeping accurate data records in the company's software system and generating calibration certificates. Maintaining a Clean and Safe working environment for all lab users. Identifying instrument faults and performing minor repairs/ replacements, as required. Work in a team promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. Manage personal and professional development. Help maintain a healthy stock of consumables and instrument spares. The Person What are we looking for, as our ideal candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following: Experience working in a calibration laboratory is ideal but not essential. Keen interest in engineering Minimum BTEC in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or similar Methodical with a practical ability including diagnostic skills.
