Gateshead Talking Therapies is an award-winning Talking Therapies service and one of the highest performing Talking Therapies services at both regional and national level. Main duties of the job The Primary Care Mental Health Worker will have: Understanding of Common Mental Health Problems and their impact on social functioning and physical health. Understanding of at least one brief psychological and/or psychosocial intervention and the development of positive mental health. A commitment to the recovery model of mental health and service user and carer involvement A commitment to a holistic model of mental health and working with partners to address client need. Experience of working with people who experience mental health problems especially depression and anxiety. Skills in assessment and interventions for clients with common mental health problems and consultation and supervision with primary care colleagues.
