Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + bonus

Client:
We are currently recruiting a Head of Procurement for a Public Sector organisation in Merseyside. The role will focus on developing their procurement strategy whilst working on strategic procurement projects across a number of different category areas.
Role:
* Ensure the delivery of a strategic plan in line with the organisation’s vision/value
* Lead a small team
* Drive continuous improvement and create social value through your procurement work
* Liaise with suppliers, stakeholders and your procurement network to keep up to date with market trends
* Build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Develop strategies and business cases for new procurement projects
* Identify areas for added value and cost savings
* Provide procurement advice and guidance
* Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement legislation
* Improve performance with innovative supply chain strategies and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Provide commercial advice and strategic risk management
* Auditing and report writing
