The Managing Memory/Memory Assessment service at the Fritchie Centre, Cheltenham is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join as a supervisor in our friendly team.
The Managing Memory service is comprised of:
* The Memory Assessment Service, which manages the Trust's countywide referral, screening and diagnostic service;
* The delivery of information and education to carers and service users.
* Community Dementia Nurses and Practitioners
* Care Home Support Team Nurses.
This service is provided countywide through geographically located community teams in Gloucester, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham & Stroud. Travel to these teams is required for this role, and it is advisable that you have transport for this, for which expenses are payable.
The role is in operation Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 and is an office-based role.
We are looking for an experienced administrator, ideally from an NHS background, who is confident and capable of looking after a team and can work with minimal supervision. A background of using NHS systems and an understanding of administration processes in an NHS setting would be ideal. The successful candidate should be innovative and able to easily support the team with a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will hopefully be able to demonstrate implementing lead techniques to increase efficiency in their work.
Main duties of the job
If you are a competent and skilled administrator who can easily observe and identify issues before they arise, we would welcome an application to our friendly and supportive team.
The candidate will provide PA support to the Team Managers, which includes identifying and implementing service improvements, e.g., Admin Pathways which support the Patient Care Pathways; as well as maintaining personnel files and supporting HR processes, e.g., Clinical Team Absence Recording.
They will work with the Operational Business Manager (Line Manager) to manage an effective administrative resource to the clinical team, maintain service provision, and ensure a safe office environment.
The candidate would also supervise the Community Administrators in the localities of Gloucester, Forest of Dean, and Stroud, which includes undertaking supervisions and appraisals. This will require travel to these sites.
The post holder would also assist with the management of the 0800 telephone number for the service to support the patients when calling the service.
The qualification, training & experience requirements for the role are underlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.
About us
We have a skilled and dedicated workforce of over 5000 colleagues working in a diverse range of services over 55 sites and within people's homes. We strive to enable a welcoming workplace culture that builds and celebrates civility, inclusivity, and diversity while providing a sense of belonging and trust.
Annual staff surveys, regular Pulse surveys, and other engagement opportunities provide our people with lots of opportunities to tell us about their experiences of working with us. In the latest staff survey, 61% of colleagues gave us their views. It was great to hear that:
* 72% of colleagues would recommend the Trust as a place to work, ranking us 1st for Provider Trusts in the South West region on this question.
* 76% would recommend the standard of care provided in our services if a friend or relative needed treatment, also ranking us 1st in the South West region.
* 81% said that care of patients and service users is the Trust's priority, compared with an average in comparable NHS Trusts in England of 64%.
This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.
