Humanities Teacher – Secondary School in Southampton, Hampshire
Are you an inspiring Humanities Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive secondary school?
GSL Education are seeking a passionate full-Time Humanities Teacher to join a secondary school in Southampton, offering a pay rate between £30,000 to £50,000 per year (Depending on experience). This role starts from Easter 2025 or September 2025 and is open to ECTs, experienced teachers, and unqualified subject specialists. A permanent contract is available following a successful probation period.
Responsibilities of the Humanities Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Assess, mark, and provide feedback to support student progress.
* Participate in parent evenings, report writing, and departmental meetings.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
Requirements of the Humanities Teacher:
* A Humanities-related degree (essential for unqualified teachers).
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
* Experience teaching History, Geography, or Religious Studies.
* Strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons to meet curriculum standards.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
