The Catheter Care and Review Practitioner will be working in close partnership with the catheter group, Care Services, Voluntary Services and Community Teams to:
* Deliver proactive catheter education, management and review across community teams, care homes and external organisations.
* Be involved in Catheter Care projects within the Community Services and Care Services.
* Develop and build effective working relationships with key agencies.
* Provide advice to other colleagues on Catheter care and removal following Trust policy.
* Support Community colleagues with reviewing Catheters on caseloads, and promoting removal at the earliest moment.

Come and join the Community Education Assurance Team, who work across the whole of Eastern and Northern Devon services, making a difference to those who deliver and receive care in a variety of settings. No two days are the same, where you can develop and apply a wide variety of clinical skills and knowledge as a clinician. We have a supportive and friendly ethos within the team, promoting education and learning for all.
You will be part of a dedicated team, delivering a wide range of clinical education, service improvement, and involvement in safeguarding concerns. Candidates will need to have excellent communication skills; as you will be delivering education and advice to those in a variety of settings and backgrounds. These conversations may be tough at times. You will be working with wider services also, to ensure integrated working across Devon with our wider service colleagues.
Candidates will need to own their own car, with business insurance as the role involves driving to visit settings and teams across Eastern and Northern Devon. Expenses are paid as per Royal Devon Policy.
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days out of 7. Mainly days only. Some weekend and evening flexibility will be required on occasion, to meet service needs.
