To become part of the Radiation Protection Supervisors team within the department, Providing reports for the annual radiation meeting and reporting incidents and concerns with the support of the RPA. Health & Safety Responsibilities Has a full understanding of safety issues and the hazards and safety implications of working on 1.5T and 3T scanners. Ensures that all safety guidelines are followed in clinical practice. Carries out regular Quality Assurance Tests on equipment. Be responsible for the safety of patients and other staff. Reports any malfunctions of equipment to a senior person and records relevant information on the RADAR system. To comply with the IR (ME)R 2017 regulations and lonising Radiations Regulations 2017. These are aimed at reducing the radiation dose to Patients, Staff and Public. Ensures all work environments are safe and within guidelines. Maintains own compliance and ensure department staff awareness and compliance with all legislative and company policies and procedures to include, but not limited to, CQC, SHE, DSE, Fire, COSHH, Life Support, Safeguarding, Information Security, Infection Control and Manual Handling. Maintains high-standards of infection control. Contributes to risk assessments for new and current imaging locations and modalities. This list is not exhaustive.
