Role Title: Senior Security Engineer – Security Operations

About the role:
RMG Cyber Security Operations is dedicated to safeguarding our information assets and managing security incidents through robust detection, analysis, and response strategies. We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to enhance our team and contribute to the protection and resilience of our technical infrastructure.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will lead the maintenance and development of key security technologies across RMG's technology estate and provide senior-level expertise in information security to ensure the successful delivery of security projects within the Business as Usual (BAU) Security Operations Function.

What will you do?
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work in close collaboration with the Head of Security Engineering to maintain and enhance essential security technologies, ensuring the Security Operations team has optimized access to necessary tools and information. You will work closely with the Director of Security Operations, security architects, and technology operations teams to ensure the correct operation and optimal configuration of supporting security technologies.
You will lead technical teams to enhance protection and logging capabilities, maximizing the value of security technologies for the Security Operations team. Reporting duties involve delivering and presenting KPIs, KRIs, and other reports to Heads of Security Engineering and Security Operations, acting as SME for relevant projects and initiatives.
You will provide guidance and direction to RMG technology teams, ensuring the correct placement, maintenance, and support of security technologies, and fostering professional relationships to enhance cooperation between stakeholders and Security Operations. You will manage and direct third-party suppliers to ensure effective delivery, maintenance, and support of security technologies, adhering to project timelines and service level agreements.
What skills and experience should you have?
* This role requires experience in a similar position within a large, complex, and technologically diverse organization.
* Proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and configuring a wide range of security technologies, including SIEM solutions, DLP solutions, firewall solutions, cloud security centres, IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) solutions, and vulnerability scanners, Proxy like Zscaler is essential.
* At least one professional certification; CISSP, CISM, CCSP.
