As an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse, you could be involved in setting up this new element to our service.
We are looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses who are also accredited (or working towards accreditation) with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), trained in CBT and other therapy techniques appropriate to a workplace setting. Your role will be to provide individual therapy and group sessions, if appropriate, following assessment.
You will also be provided with training in the role of Occupational Health case management and provide consultations as appropriate, for employees who have been referred into the service in relation to their mental health.
As this is a new service you will be instrumental in the development of the role and appropriate care pathways. This is not a crisis intervention service or a replacement for NHS services but very much a proactive support to help employees remain in or return to work following a period of ill health.
We have a wide range of wellbeing information, support and initiatives available to our employees and as part of this role we would like you to contribute to this mental wellbeing information.
You will be provided with the necessary Occupational Health training, support and Clinical Supervision.
One full-time and one part-time role is available, working over Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm. We are a small friendly team consisting of Occupational Health Nurses and Administrators working in purpose built Occupational Health department within Bickerstaffe House in Blackpool town centre. Working at the Council you will have access to a full range of benefits, Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing initiatives.
We are hosting a recruitment event on Wednesday 4th December in Occupational Health - come and meet the team. More details to follow.
