Position Summary
On a day-to-day basis, support worker duties include supporting with meal preparation, parenting support, managing finances, accessing community facilities, medical appointments, or providing general emotional support and 1-2-1 key working sessions. Enabling and support include such activities as supervising, monitoring and coaching to empower service users to be as independent as possible and have control over their own lives.
Position Responsibilities
· Provide direct and individualised support to parents based on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
· Maintains a comfortable, safe, and clean environment for the parent and their child/ren.
· Support with independent living skills.
· Support with finances and budgeting.
· Supporting the parent in having structure to their day -to- day life.
· Supporting mother and baby in the community.
· Provide support with feeding tips and bathing tips for infant.
· Records all weekly reports, weekly planners and catered key working sessions, information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format.
· Liaise with other professionals such as social services, midwife, schools, and welfare benefit agents.
Desired Skills
· Experience working with children, young people, or families.
· Level 3 qualification in childcare, social work, social care, youth work or education is desired or willingness to work towards this once employed.
· An Enhanced DBS checks will be carried out.

Pay: £13.85per hour
