This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover a secondment. The primary purpose is to facilitate and support the effective use of electronic rostering across the organisation. The post-holder will be responsible for providing ongoing training on e-rostering systems and ensuring compliance with e-rostering procedures, including support for associated systems such as Employee Online and SafeCare. They will oversee the setup of new units on the e-rostering system while maintaining and updating existing ones. Additionally, they will manage the interfacing of pay data from e-rostering into the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to provide guidance on best practices for e-rostering across the organisation.
Main Tasks and professional responsibility
• To be the lead in supporting the successful use of e-rostering and all related systems
• To interrogate the system to produce relevant monthly performance reports
• To train all staff groups and management staff on how to use the system and how to access relevant reports
• To update e-rostering with contractual changes such as new starters, change of hours, and leavers in order that it remains in alignment with ESR
• To regularly review areas already established on e-rostering to ensure accuracy and relevance of information held, and management understanding of their responsibilities
• To work with area managers and matrons to problem solve where areas are not meeting their e-Rostering KPIs
• To work with managers to embed understanding of e-rostering in relation to the Trust Duty Rostering Policy
• To implement policies and propose improvements or amendments to policies where relevant to maximise effective use of the system and compliance with policies.
• To work to ensure data quality on the system is maintained and improved
• To line manage the E-Rostering Administrator performance and absences
• To support the E-Rostering Administrator in their personal and professional development.
