We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced sessional lecturers with a background in health and/or social care to support teaching and learning across the School of Health & Wellbeing. Successful applicants will be placed on a register of sessional lecturers and will be notified when suitable vacancies arise. The successful candidates will join a friendly and supportive team within the Department of Community, Social Justice & Health which sits in the School of Health & Wellbeing. The academic staff in the Department and School include a range of health and social care professionals. They work as an inter-professional team, teaching collaboratively across shared and profession-specific modules at all academic levels, and you will be expected to share this philosophy. The emphasis across the School is on learning through doing, and theory is embedded in practice. We are particularly interested in attracting experts in the following areas: Anatomy and Physiology Managing conditions Nutrition and lifestyle medicines Health and care services: Integrated Care Interprofessional ways of working NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers, and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week. Responsibilities for the post will include teaching in the FdSc Assistant Practitioner and the Foundation Year for Healthcare Professionals (but not exclusively).
