We Are Survivors have multiple job roles available in our ever-growing Community Services team.
You will help us to provide key services across Greater Manchester. The Community team is made of therapists, group, and community workers to support men and boys to access the services they need. The roles we are recruiting are to grow this from our central hub wider across Greater Manchester.
Main duties of the job
1. Manage and support the volunteer workforce.
2. Support the development of community-based interventions.
3. Deliver quality-assured, therapeutic-based, group and community support services.
4. Accurately record group and community support interventions.
5. Schedule and liaise with survivors and their supporters to access appointments at We are Survivors.
About us
We Are Survivors is a survivor-focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual exploitation across Greater Manchester providing access to quality assured support.
Job responsibilities
To develop and deliver a quality-assured, volunteer programme of therapeutic-based community support activities to male victims/survivors of sexual violence, alongside the direct delivery of We are Survivors services. This role also involves scheduling appointments for survivors to attend and access services within the organisation.

Experience
* Understanding of issues relating to rape and sexual assault, particularly those relating to boys and men.
* Experience in data management and information governance.
* Experience of working within a Social Prescribing setting.
* Experience in working with and facilitating group activities.
* Previous experience of working within a highly confidential setting, adhering to data governance.
* Previous experience of working within the voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
* Experience of providing 1:1 support or advocacy to adults or young people.
Skills
* Ability to prioritise own workload.
* Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent and electronic database systems.
* Facilitation skills supporting structured and unstructured group activities.
* A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and anti-oppressive practice.
