Are you a Chartered (or approaching) Structural Engineer looking to progress your career and work on some of the most iconic projects in Northern Ireland? Our Client is seeking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their busy Structural Engineering team in Belfast due to contract awards and an already busy work schedule.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To act as Structural Lead on a wide range of projects with the Architectural and Civil Design teams in liaising with clients and other design team members, managing/undertaking the preparation of drawings, calculations, programmes, specifications, reports and other project related deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the Structural Engineering Team we would want you to lead on/undertake the following duties:
1. Manage a team in preparing conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of Structural engineering work using CAD/Revit software.
2. Liaising directly with clients in development of solutions.
3. Liaising and coordinating with other design team members, both in-house, other offices and/or external consultants.
4. Attending design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate.
5. Managing the preparation of drawing lists, programmes, specifications and progress reports.
6. Production of detailed design calculations.
7. Co-operating with site supervisory resources.
8. Any other relevant engineering duties as may be required from time to time and as determined by local Office.
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:
9. Applicants must have a Degree in a related discipline, such as Structural or Civil Engineering.
10. 10 years’ experience in a similar Structural Design role.
11. Design office experience.
12. Chartered, or approaching Chartership.
13. Be able to work effectively under pressure, to deadlines and as part of a team.
