Assistant SENCO – Secondary School in North London We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant SENCO to join a thriving secondary school in North London. Key Responsibilities: Assist the SENCO in coordinating and delivering high-quality provision for students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Support the identification and assessment of students' needs, ensuring that appropriate interventions and strategies are implemented. Work closely with teachers, staff, and outside agencies to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Lead small group or one-to-one interventions for students with SEND. Monitor and track the progress of students with SEND, ensuring that progress is regularly reviewed and reported. Promote an inclusive school culture and support staff in differentiating the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. Assist with the management and development of the SEND resources within the school. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in a secondary school setting. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices. A proactive and collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and parents. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. A positive attitude towards professional development and a desire to grow in the role. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
