WE,RE HIRING – MECHANICAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
Overview
We are currently recruiting for a mechanical operations manager to join our team. We are a long-established family business based in Chorley who specialise in commercial plumbing, heating & mechanical services projects throughout the North West.
Primarily operating in the commercial sector, we cover a wide range of projects & clients from NHS, private healthcare, Schools, Universities & care homes. We pride ourselves on a personal touch from initial enquiry to handover & this is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team. The role will mainly be office based with frequent site visits required.
Role Description
* Organisation & management of mechanical projects within a commercial environment.
* Management of a team of installers including forward planning & allocation of labour.
* Ensure that all projects are completed in line with the company health & safety policy / RAMS.
* Produce monthly financial reports for both ongoing & completed projects.
* Assist with the preparation of monthly valuations of works carried out.
* Day to day engagement with clients, client management & our install team to ensure smooth operation & handover of projects.
* Engagement & organisation of supply chain & sub-contractors.
* Liaise with clients & customers at all levels in order to improve service delivery.
* Assist with initial enquiries including pricing of small works (£0 – 30K)
* Lead the project management team
* Assist with business development & attraction of new clients
Skills & Attributes
* Relevant mechanical or commercial plumbing qualification is preferred but not essential.
* Previous demonstrable experience of managing mechanical projects.
* Experience of working in the commercial sector is essential.
* SMSTS / SSSTS site management qualification preferred.
* Experience in client facing role, with a proven track record of building client relationship
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes

* Salary - £40 – 50K PA negotiable based on experience.
