Behaviour Support Officer Location: Bridgend, CF32 Pay: £12.90 per hour (£83.85 per day) Job Type: Full-time We are working with a school in Bridgend to recruit dedicated Behaviour Support professionals to assist pupils during lessons and daily activities. Experience in behaviour management is essential, as the role requires someone who can adapt quickly and feel confident in a school setting. You will be supporting pupils aged 7 to 19, though you’ll typically work with the same group throughout the day to maintain consistency and build strong relationships. Trial days may be offered to ensure a good fit for both you and the school, particularly for one-to-one support roles where rapport is crucial. Role Overview: Supporting pupils in lessons, ensuring they remain engaged and complete their work. Providing assistance during break and lunch periods to help pupils manage transitions and feel secure. Assisting with personal care tasks if required. Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour. Participating in relevant training and professional development. Requirements: Enhanced DBS check and EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration. Understanding of child development and the needs of pupils with disabilities or behavioural challenges.
