Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Operative
Location: Aylesbury, Princes Risborough, Chesham, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes
Hours: Full-time – 37 hours per week
Salary: £26,875 per annum

We have an opportunity that has arisen to join our team here at The Fremantle Trust, looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative with a ‘can-do’ attitude, a practical approach, and an eye for attention to detail. You will be part of the Property and Facilities Team to ensure compliance checks, maintenance and DIY tasks are completed to a good standard at our homes and services across Aylesbury, Princes Risborough, Chesham, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes.
Our ideal candidate:
* Experience in a similar role desirable
* Strong ability to build relationships internally with staff and residents
* Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Able to communicate and liaise with contractors and Home Managers
* Familiarity with groundskeeping, gardening, and DIY
* Reliable
* Ability to complete compliance checks, minor general maintenance and DIY tasks
A satisfactory DBS disclosure at the enhanced level is required.
Principle tasks will include:
* Undertaking general repairs and maintenance duties.
* Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer.
* Together with housekeeping teams, ensuring accurate record keeping and the completion of scheduled safety checks, asset checks along with monthly premises management audits.
* Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets.
* Supporting contractor statutory compliance checks. Responding positively to breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations.
* Contributing and supporting property improvement initiatives and programmes.
* Working closely with and support other Maintenance Operatives and providing cover, if required.
* Decoration of communal areas and bedroom voids.
A flexible approach with some weekend and evening work is required. Some on-call work may be required. This list of duties and responsibilities is by no means exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required.
