About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Healthcare to join the team at HMP Kirkham, a Category D open prison located south west of Kirkham in Lancashire. You will be joining a well staffed and fully integrated healthcare team managing around 25 employees working across Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance Misuse and external services. HMP Kirkham is one of the largest category D prisons in England supporting around 700 men who are nearing the end of their sentences and participating in education and work placements to support with integration back into the community. This is a unique opportunity to manage the healthcare department by leading on, and maintaining the service as agreed with NHS England. This is a full time role offering a salary between £53,755 and £60,504 per annum depending on experience How will we support you? Some of your duties will include: Provide management of the healthcare services on site, with overall responsibility for delivering a highly functional clinical service, within agreed budgets Maintain the strategic direction of the service, and deliver on agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England Lead, develop and motivate your team to deliver the best service possible Work closely with senior management within the prison, as well as the finance business partner and regional manager If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
