Job Description
On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Supplier Operations Specialist x2
(Inside IR35) for an 18-month contract.
Hybrid - 2 / 3 days per week in Aldermaston.
Job Purpose: Provide specialist support to Supply Chain Management and AWE Demanders in regard to supplier onboarding, management, governance, and reporting in the Business System (Fusion).
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
Responsibilities:
1. Management of approved suppliers including maintaining supplier records and due diligence activities.
2. Advising SCM and AWE Demanders on the appropriate question sets to be included in procurement activities and supplier onboarding.
3. Supporting the management of allocated supplier relationships.
4. Ensuring Fusion housekeeping is maintained to ensure the accuracy of supplier data.
5. Developing and maintaining working relationships and awareness with key internal stakeholders.
6. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality and be a great team player.
7. Ensuring the appropriate question sets are included in procurement and supplier onboarding activities.
8. Ensuring the question sets are regularly reviewed by the Technical Advisers and up to date with current legislation and policies.
9. Ensuring suppliers are onboarded in a professional, efficient, and timely manner.
10. Regular reviews undertaken of the onboarding process and improvement activities undertaken.
11. Managing relationships with the Technical Advisors to ensure collaboration and productive working relationships.
12. Working with key stakeholders to fully understand the onboarding requirements and maintaining good communications.
13. Working with SCM Process and Performance Team to ensure process is in line with management arrangements and collaborating on changes.
14. Working with potential suppliers to fully explain AWE requirements and ensure documentation is completed to the required standards.
15. Ensuring Supply Chain processes, tools, and systems are understood and adhered to.
16. Promoting and ensuring the use of a fully evaluated and approved supply base.
17. Working with key stakeholders to ensure the speedy resolution of queries.
18. Supporting change and championing best practice to promote the SCM function.
