Account Manager – Sharnbrook
My client has an opportunity for a successful account manager to join their small team.
Due to expansion they have an opportunity for someone to look after some of their large accounts.
General Job Description:
The Account Manager will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, primarily large multi-branch national accounts and manufacturing businesses. This position involves supporting the processing of large orders via phone, email, and EDI systems, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency. Additionally, the role includes preparing stock reports, liaising with customer inventory teams, and addressing potential supply chain issues.
The successful candidate will also assist in managing high-value projects for some of the UK's largest merchants, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
* Research businesses, individuals, and industry trends to identify new opportunities and better serve existing customers.
* Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout projects.
* Process administrative tasks for customer accounts as needed.
* Prepare stock reports and liaise with customer inventory teams to address supply issues.
* Assist senior team members in managing risks, projects, and product development.
* Support sales goals and strategies to ensure objectives are met.
* Use Phocas analytics software to evaluate customer spending patterns and margins.
* Participate in meetings with clients both in person and via Microsoft Teams.
Skills & Abilities:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
* Strong organizational skills to ensure projects remain on track and within deadlines.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Intermediate-level Excel proficiency.
Working Conditions:
Work Environment: Sales Office - Sharnbrook
Hours/Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)
