Lead Technical Project Manager - (TSG Delivery) We have an incredible opportunity for a Lead Technical Project Manager (PM) to join our TSG Delivery team on a permanent basis based in the Darlington office (hybrid based). The role The Lead Senior Technical PM will oversee and guide a team of experienced technical project managers to ensure the successful delivery of TSG technical initiatives and workstreams within Railpen as well as manage a portfolio of technical projects themselves. This role will look to develop and enforce standardised project management methodologies and frameworks to ensure consistency and quality across all projects. The person The successful candidate will be someone who has previously worked as a Lead Technical PM, who has experience in managing technical projects. Hands-on project management experience, with a track record of delivering a diverse range of projects and programs from infrastructure/technology refresh to software delivery is fundamental for this role. You will have an understanding of PMO processes, tools, and methodologies and will have a proficiency in tools including: Project for the Web, JIRA, Confluence. You will look to develop a collaborative environment and guide your team toward successful project delivery, whilst supporting the development of your direct reports in an inclusive way through coaching and mentoring. As the Lead Technical PM, you will have an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Railpen to understand their needs and ensure alignment with project goals. You will have an ability to communicate effectively across organisational, technical, and political boundaries. The successful candidate will be flexible and resilient whilst having the ability to analyse situations, propose solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances. As the Lead Technical PM, you will look to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT Delivery function.
