Avionic Braking and Steering Control Systems Engineer
* Contract: Initial 6-month contract
* Location: Hybrid working from Bristol
* Rate: Up to £60 per hour
Key Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems or landing gear
* Strong understanding of processes and requirements (V&V)
* Experience in systems equipment design or investigation
* Proactive and committed approach to work
* Stakeholder management experience, including subcontractor management (desirable)
* Test result analysis experience (beneficial)
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop technical solutions
* Ensure Design Review deliverables meet certification requirements
* Implement best practices and apply lessons learned from previous programs
* Support V&V planning throughout the design lifecycle
* Investigate and resolve in-service technical issues, producing relevant documentation
* Effectively manage stakeholders and communicate project updates
* Identify and mitigate risks, while leveraging opportunities for improvement
* Support digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational reliability
* Clearly and effectively communicate with team members and external partners
Essential Skills:
* 5-10 years of experience in Landing Gear Systems Engineering
* Ability to manage short-term service queries and long-term technical investigations
* Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and technical approach
* Experience mentoring junior engineers
* Ability to manage subcontractors when required
