We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Executive to join our team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh.
The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is located in the heart of Edinburgh and is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. The hotel boasts 269 bedrooms, a large banqueting and meeting complex hosting up to 500 guests, and an award-winning bar and restaurant - One Square Bar & Brasserie. Additionally, the hotel operates the award winning One Spa, one of Europe's premier advanced city spas.
Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the position has the primary responsibility of supporting marketing and revenue generation strategies for Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh.
Collaborating closely with the hotel operational team as well as the UK Digital Field Marketing team, the Marketing Executive will support the Marketing Manager in executing marketing strategies and tactics that achieve key financial and customer metrics for the hotel and its outlets.
The position is accountable for the implementation of specific strategies in the areas of:
* Brand and promotional programs at the hotel
* Developing content, social media strategy and community management
* Sales support to develop appropriate collateral/tools
* Promotion and activation of One Square & One Spa
* Loyalty programs and Marriott Bonvoy member engagement
* Management of local partnerships and events
* Management of signage and collateral requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in content creation (copy-writing, photo and video) to feed all channels, in adherence with brand guidelines and hotel positioning.
* Coordinate the implementation of new Sheraton initiatives, acting as a brand champion and ensuring full compliance with Sheraton standards and programs, brand style guides and tone of voice, with a focus on the core brand positioning.
* Ensure all marketing assets and collateral are brand compliant and in line with the Sheraton brand guidelines.
* Organise marketing related events and encourage Marriott Bonvoy member / customer engagement on property.
* Drive the implementation of the restaurant / bar marketing strategy and tactics.
* Drive the implementation of the spa marketing strategy and execution of online/offline marketing tactics.
* Activation of local partnerships and review opportunities for local level promotions and sponsorships to gain recognition, leverage brand identity and beneficial status within the community.
* Support the sales team to develop relevant tools/campaigns to maximise corporate / group marketing activities.
* Support the hotels' social media strategy with relevant story telling material.
* Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and managing the different marketing plans and budgets for the hotel and outlets.
Requirements
* 1-2 years in marketing/communications industry or relevant hospitality experience.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in marketing, advertising and/or communication.
