Job summary An exciting vacancy has arisen within the Maternity & Gynaecology Care Unit, Family Care Division for a full time Receptionist. The Receptionists provide a professional clerical and co-ordination service to the departments of Women's Health Unit, Trinity Ward, Antenatal Clinic and Chesterfield Birth centre, all of which sit under the Maternity & Gynaecology Care Unit. Primarily the role will ensure that patients and visitors receive a friendly, customer focused and efficient service. This receptionist post is one of two full time relief receptionists and will work permanently 37.5 hours per week 8.30am - 5.00pm however, on occasion dependant upon department may be requested to work from 7.30am - 4.00pm. Duties will be carried out in the areas of greater need and may be asked to move departments to meet demand. Main duties of the job The successful candidates will possess previous clerical experience, including VDU/keyboard skills, and have experience of using a telephone. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work to deadlines are also essential requirements of this post.
