BMS Projects Manager The Projects Manager will report directly to the Commercial Director but will also have close communication with the Managing Director. Siemsatec’s project department has grown organically due to the company’s focus on client relationships and the quality of the service provided. This is an opportunity to join and lead the existing team to continue the development of the project side of the business. This would suit a self-motivated individual that can work well within a team, has strong interpersonal skills and the ambition to drive a team forward. Ideally the individual will have proven experience in this role along with a technical background to assist and understand the project team requirements on a day-to-day basis where needed. The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the projects assigned to them. This is a hybrid role with working from both the office in Beckenham and home with a requirement to liaise on site with clients and engineers to ensure the projects are delivered on time & on budget. A requirement to attend the office at least 1 day a week to liaise with the senior management team. The hours for the Project Manager are Monday – Friday, 8:00am until 16:30pm with half an hour break for lunch. There may be occasions when you are required to attend site out of these hours subject to the needs of the business and our clients. Responsibilities and Duties Know and understand the company values and ethos to ensure that this is disseminated through to the project team. Complete a handover of each new project from the salesperson, update the project engineer with any requirements and ensure that the project is engineered with the delivery of the point schedules & des ops at the start of each project. Identify key program dates to ensure that these are deliverable, highlighting any issues to the client. Produce a BMS programme of works and ensure that these align with the main program and that these can be met. Liaise with the clients to ensure the delivery of the projects meet their expectations and that the projects are delivered within the remit of what we are contracted to do. Oversee any works delivered by sub-contractors and ensure that these are managed with work orders issued on time and that their work is completed to the level expected.Identify any additional works and quote these as variations, ensuring that these do not hinder the delivery of the main project. Ensure that profit and loss targets for each project are delivered through the control of all budgets. Oversee and assist with the planning of the project calendar making sure that resources are used in the most efficient manner looking for initiative solutions to staffing operational expenses. Provide support to the projects team. This support will also aid the development of the engineers and help identify potential training requirements for the project engineering team. Recognise the needs of the business and provide relevant information to the management team as and when additional engineering resources are required. Provide weekly department reports to line manager and attend monthly management meetings. Provide weekly risk reporting on each project. Live tracking of each project to allow analysis at any given time. REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE Essential: Previous experience in project management role. Desirable: Minimum 3 years working within a similar role. Minimum 3 years working within the BMS Industry. SKILLS AND APTITUDES Essential: Demonstrable organisation and management skills. Able to deal with clients diplomatically. Excellent communication skills. Excellent IT skills. Knowledge of BMS and or the systems involved with BMS. Proven record of project delivery. Desirable: Previous management of P&L PERSONAL QUALITIES Essential: Excellent leadership skills. QUALIFICATIONS Essential: Relevant qualifications to demonstrate career progression in Project Management and an ability to develop within previous roles. Desirable: Electrical or mechanical qualifications. Relevant managerial training. Trend or similar BMS experience. CIRCUMSTANCES Essential: Possess a full current driving license. Have permanent right to work in the UK. Have no underlying health issue that would stop you from performing the duties detailed with job description. Desirable: Live within the M25.
