SF Recruitment are recruiting for one of our clients who have a friendly, supportive and close-knit finance team based in the North Derbyshire area. My client are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team initially on a temporary basis with potential for it to lead to something longer term for the right candidate.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to ensure all areas of sales invoicing are controlled and to ensure payment from customers are collected within agreed terms.
Role and Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant position is based at our offices in Alfreton, Derbyshire. Working as part of a small team, the main duties include:
1. To ensure payments are collected from customers within agreed terms
2. To assist with Sales invoicing
3. To ensure invoice queries are resolved in a timely manner
4. To allocate payments from customers
5. Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable internal operations and effective service by connecting groups i.e., sales, production, and service
6. To assist in Service invoicing
7. To provide cover for other finance department members as required
8. Engage in the transition to a new ERP system in the coming weeks/months
9. General administration in the department
10. To carry out any other ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager
This role is being offered on a temporary basis initially. The ideal candidate will be on a short notice period, will be willing to work on site, and have a strong background in an Accounts team. You will also possess excellent IT skills, specifically in Excel.
