We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Talent Advisor to join our dynamic People & Culture team. The Talent Advisor is responsible for driving recruitment across OKA sales channels and would suit a proactive and self-motivated individual. The Talent Advisor plays a pivotal role in recruiting top talent for our retail stores, providing advice and guidance to hiring managers and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Reporting directly to the People & Talent Manager, the Talent Advisor will provide the business with expertise on recruitment best-practice, playing a key role in attracting, assessing and selecting top talent to meet business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Team Recruitment: End-to-End Recruitment: Lead and manage all aspects of the recruitment process for all customer-facing positions for our Retail, Trade and Interior Design teams. Sourcing & Attraction: Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates, ensuring a diverse pool of talent and a thorough understanding of local networks and talent pools. Candidate Screening: Work closely with our management population to review applications, conduct interviews and assess candidates for compatibility on company values and skills and experience. Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding, by provide timely and clear communication, constructive feedback, and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with managers and department heads to assess staffing requirements, develop targeted recruitment plans and set hiring priorities. Ensure relevant stakeholders are updated on progress and timelines, flagging potential challenges and risks. Employer Branding: Leverage platforms including the OKA website, LinkedIn and Indeed promote OKA as an employer of choice. Collaborate closely with Marketing & Brand to ensure that LinkedIn and other channels reflect key organisational messages and values, creating a consistent and compelling employer image across all touchpoints. Onboarding & Induction: Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for all new starters. Complete New Starter documentation, prepare onboarding materials and coordinate company-wide induction sessions, ensuring new employees are fully integrated into the company culture and understand key policies and processes. People Data and Reporting: HR System Maintenance: Ensure the ATS system is consistently up-to-date and accurately reflects current recruitment activity. Employee Data Accuracy: Work closely with the People & Talent Manager to ensure that all new starter information is accurately captured and processed in the payroll system. Recruitment Metrics: Monitor and report on recruitment activity and success on an ad hoc and monthly basis, providing regular updates to the People & Talent Manager on recruitment progress and metrics to drive continuous improvement. Employee Data Management: Assist in maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring that all recruitment, onboarding and employee information is properly documented and maintained. HR Activities: Exit Interviews & Retention: Conduct exit interviews for departing employees, analysing data to identify key themes and provide insights to improve retention, engagement and employee satisfaction. Working as part of the People & Culture team on key people projects and initiatives – we are a small team, so take a “all hands on deck” approach to HR activities. Recruitment Expertise: Demonstrated experience in recruiting for a variety of retail roles (management and shopfloor), including experience with different recruitment platforms and candidate assessment techniques. HR Knowledge: Understanding of general HR practices, employment law, employment relations processes and compliance, particularly in a retail environment. Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with retail teams and senior leaders. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment, with strong attention to detail. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify issues and implement solutions. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using HR software, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
