Performance Systems Integration Engineer
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid) - Up to £36/hr - Inside IR35
Do you have technical expertise in IC engines, performance simulation tools, and control systems? A Performance Systems Integration Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.
The Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team is responsible for the end-to-end definition of the performance system:
1. Requirements - System architecture, calibration requirements, and control system definition.
2. Detailed technical trade-offs and control system development, through the use of simulation and analytical tools.
3. Demonstrate product quality, emissions conformance, and product signoff.
PSI leads the engine performance development cycle; from new technology concept selection, through to the development of new products, and then supporting and maintaining our current products. PSI also plays a key role in integrating our products into customer applications.
What You Will Do:
The Performance Systems Integration Engineer role will focus on the development of our current and future 900 series products. The successful candidate will work alongside other highly talented Engineers, utilizing their problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to make data-driven decisions to create new solutions, ensure product quality, and emissions compliance. The successful applicant will work as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with partners in Systems, Component, Performance, and Electronics to deliver world-class products.

5. Experience of some or all of the following:
1. Technical expertise in IC engines, performance simulation tools, and control systems.
2. Provides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence.
3. Drive system-level trade-offs and make technical recommendations to drive business decisions (ideally using simulation tools & processes).
4. Knowledge of control system development and optimization through simulation and data analysis.
5. Applies current procedures and technologies to help resolve technical issues in one's general area of technical competence.
