Job Description
As a Technical IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, managing, and recording IT help desk requests received through various channels. You will also deal with and resolve helpdesk requests, create, monitor, respond, and manage support tickets, and provide basic installation, configuration, and support of IT equipment.
You will work as a team member, providing support to colleagues as needed and perform any other duties within the scope of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, manage, and record IT help desk requests
* Deal with and resolve helpdesk requests
* Create, monitor, respond, and manage support tickets
* Provide basic installation, configuration, and support of IT equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have 1 year of IT experience, ideally from an IT apprenticeship or a 1st Line role within an MSP. You should be confident on the telephone, highly organized, able to build a rapport with customers, and adapt to different situations.
You should also have inner resilience and knowledge of hardware virtualization, client operating systems, server operating systems, applications, and backup software. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Apple OS X, Citrix XenApp, Sage, SQL, and hardware firewalls is advantageous.
