An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse with expert knowledge and skills in Emergency nursing to undertake the role of the Emergency Department Practice Based Educator for Manchester Royal Infirmary.
The post holder will provide an educational role for implementation of the education, training and development strategy across the department for all staff groups but predominantly nursing.
The post holder must be a clinical expert in the area and possess the skills and knowledge required to develop the team into nurses with a specific skill set. An ability to teach essential extended skills is a necessary requirement.
They will improve standards of care through the professional development of all staff groups, undertaking teaching and clinical supervision; supporting colleagues and demonstrating sound clinical knowledge and expertise.
They will ensure that the workforce is fit for purpose in terms of their roles and that individual/role competencies are reviewed to provide a safe, high quality and efficient service.
They will lead for The Emergency Department implementation of mandatory training, preceptorship and continuing professional development. S/he will contribute to the Trust education and development strategies, leading projects as designated by the Matron / Lead Nurse.
