What You'll Do:
* Evaluate new network and IT technologies. Ensure systems are aligned to Vodafone strategy, meeting customer requirements and ensuring a sustainable support model.
* Working with various teams to define and validate solutions are fit for purpose, carry out lab testing and PoC validation as required.
* Work with colleagues in OSS, IT Architecture, Network Architects, Service Designers, Business Analysts, customers, and vendors. Provide input into strategic roadmaps and develop while delivering both large and small development enhancements.
* Responsible for technical external deliveries to ensure they are fit for purpose, and sustainable for ongoing support. Build relationships with vendors and 3rd parties to enhance future deliveries.
* Produce high quality, comprehensive and coherent IT specifications; Input for business cases & impact assessments.
* Lead the vendor engagements; Ensure technical deliveries are on time, in budget, and to the desired standard. Provide or ensure support for live deployments is available in line with project needs.
Who You Are:
* Knowledge and design experience of OSS inventory management solutions, for example Amdocs Resource Manager
* Competent understanding of underlying on prem & cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP
* Experience of agile & waterfall delivery methodologies
* Previous experience in an OSS/Network design.
* Appreciation of key network technologies/protocols including 3G, 4G, 5G, TCP/IP, MPLS, DWDM, OTN, NFV/SDN, SSL/TLS, SSH, IP-VPN & SNMP
